Wear, stretching and humidity can significantly reduce the UV protection of textiles. In order to be able to guarantee a high, long lasting, reliable protection factor, all sun protection textiles must pass the examinations of the strictest UV protection test worldwide, the UV Standard 801. The defined UV protection factor (UPF) relates to both UVA and UVB radiation and in contrast to all other UV standards applies to all conditions of wear and is long lasting.
